NWLSA is a free resource that helps women advocate for better workplace policies. It publishes research-backed standards across ten areas of workplace policy, with practical guidance for bringing them into conversations with HR and leadership. It is not a union, it does not certify or rate companies, and it charges nothing to anyone. It is simply the information, made accessible.
That last distinction matters. NWLSA does not organize workplaces, collect dues, or represent employees. It equips individuals with knowledge and lets them decide what to do with it.
Where sharing does the most good.
With one person. The most effective referral is specific. Rather than sharing the homepage, share the single pillar that speaks to a situation your friend or colleague is facing. "This reminded me of what you mentioned" travels further than "you should check this out."
In professional networks. Women's professional groups, industry associations, alumni networks, and mentorship programs are where workplace policy conversations already happen. A pillar page dropped into an existing discussion arrives with context built in.
In community organizations. Local groups that support working women often field policy questions without policy resources. NWLSA can be that resource, and any organization is welcome to link to it, print from it, or build programming around it without asking permission.
